BJP की मुश्किलें बढ़ीं! | उपराष्ट्रपति चुनाव से पहले Rahul Gandhi का बड़ा दांव
The upcoming Vice Presidential election in India is turning into one of the most intriguing political battles of recent times. On September 9, the country will choose its new Vice President, and the contest is between Justice B. Sudarshan Reddy, nominated by the INDIA alliance, and C.P. Radhakrishnan, the NDA candidate. Justice Sudarshan Reddy is a retired Supreme Court judge known for his sharp rulings during the UPA era, including strong observations on the 2G spectrum case and black money investigations. His nomination came as a surprise since he often held the government accountable during his tenure. On the other hand, C.P. Radhakrishnan, a seasoned leader with a long association with the RSS and BJP, has been a two-time MP from Coimbatore and currently serves as the Governor of Maharashtra. His candidature signals the NDA’s intent to consolidate support in South India, especially Tamil Nadu. This election is not just about filling a constitutional position—it carries far-reaching political implications. With 788 MPs from both Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha forming the electoral college, the numbers currently favor the NDA. However, the INDIA bloc’s choice of a respected non-political face from Andhra Pradesh has put pressure on regional allies like TDP and YSR Congress, making the outcome less predictable.
